Laboratory examinations
There are many different laboratory examinations. The results can help us to determine the health status of the horse or can be used for governmental veterinary institutions when a horse is going to be exported to another country. During the conversation prior to the pre-purchase exam it should be discussed whether you want to have a laboratory examination done or not, and if yes, which one.
We recommend a blood sample to be taken for drug testing. The sample can be sent away for immediate examination, or stored at the clinic for later processing if necessary.
